Why Homemade Desserts?
After fasting for an entire 30 days, Eid is the perfect time to celebrate and indulge. However, I believe in controlled indulgence, which means, you control all of the ingredients that go into the dessert. If you think about it, do you really know how much sugar and preservatives are in the desserts that you buy from the store? Do you even fully understand the ingredient list???? This is why I believe in homemade desserts. YOU control the amount of sugar AND you know exactly what ingredients you’re putting into it. I only use ingredients that I can pronounce and I think you should too.
Do Homemade Desserts Take Long to Make?
It depends. I’ve tried recipes that took over 3 hours to make…and that just didn’t work for my busy lifestyle. That’s why I’ve tested and re-tested and come up with recipes that take less than an hour to create from start to finish. And they’re scrumptious. Most of my recipes take 30 minutes or less (Yay!)
What is a ‘no bake’ dessert?
A no bake dessert is just that, there’s no baking involved! This cuts down on the preparation time for sure. I would say about half of the recipes in this eBook ARE no bake because if you’re like me, you don’t have a lot of time to create BUT we aren’t skimping on flavour, trust me.
Are No Bake Recipes Safe to Eat?
Yes. That’s because I don’t use any flour, eggs or other ingredients considered not safe for consumption in my no bake recipes. When stored in the refrigerator or freezer, these no bake recipes are the simplest desserts you’ll come across!
Can I replace/substitute the granulated sugar or cut down on the amount that you’ve suggested in the recipes in this eBook?
While my desserts are not overly sweet, there is still sugar in them. So if you’re on a specific diet feel free to substitute with your choice of sweetener. However, the taste may vary.
How many servings are in each recipe?
The recipes in this cookbook eBook yield 4-6 servings (some more). You can always split each recipe in half to make less, or double to make more if you’re serving a large crowd.
Are the recipes budget friendly?
Most of my recipes are made with less than 10 ingredients and also cost less than $10 to make!
Can I freeze the dessert and consume later?
The mango ice cream needs to be frozen and the vanilla cake for the Eid Lettered Cake can be baked and frozen a week or two ahead prior to frosting. I would recommend making every other recipe fresh in order to maintain the texture and flavor.
Are the dessert recipes allergen free?
Unfortunately, the majority of recipes included in this eBook contain the following allergens: Milk, Eggs, Nuts and Wheat. As a food allergy mom myself I would never want to risk putting you or your family at risk and we have placed a disclaimer in the cookbook as well. Safety first.
One last question – What’s an eCookbook?
All of me eCookbooks are PDF eBook that can be read on computers, tablets and smartphones (You don’t need a special e-reader!). They are also formatted to print on standard 8.5 x 11″ paper, so you are welcome to print the text of the recipes for your own use, if you want.
After making a purchase, you will automatically be redirected to a page where you can download your copy of the eBook. You will also be emailed a copy to save on your computer. Thank you so much for your support!
